Restrict Access to a Dbms Account

Introduction

The purpose of this process is to allow an administrator to restrict access to a production account. Normally this is done for special processing or system administration purposes.

An administrator can either set the restricted access flag or remove the restricted access flag. This flag is a record in the main dictionary of the production account whose access will be, or is, restricted. The name of this flag is 'PROHIBIT.LONON'.

First the administrator has to decide whether to set or remove access restriction flag(s). One can only remove a flag previously set and can only set a flag not already set.

Once an action has been selected then a list of Advantos Enterprise enabled accounts will be displayed. At this time simply select those accounts desired for processing and affirm continuation.

If a restriction flag has been set, then noone can log onto the production account (there are no exceptions). select those accounts desired for processing and affirm continuation.
